Observations on a new family showing bisalbuminaemia of the slow type.

چکیده
A new family with an electrophoretically more slowly moving albumin variant is described. The pattern of variance was studied using three different electrophoretic techniques, and compared with certain other known fast and slow variants. Features of penicillin and bromphenol blue binding by normal and variant albumins were also studied. Both normal human albumin and the albumin variant treated with penicillin broadened and moved faster. Native albumin A, prestained with bromphenol blue, binds approximately twice as much of the dye as the slow-moving variant. On the other hand, staining of denatured proteins on paper showed that both bands take up equal amounts of dye.

متن کاملOn a New Bimodal Normal Family
The unimodal distributions are frequently used in the theorical statistical studies. But in applied statistics, there are many situations in which the unimodal distributions can not be fitted to the data. For example, the distribution of the data outside the control zone in quality control or outlier observations in linear models and time series may require to be a bimodal. These situations, oc...
متن کاملFirst reported case of hereditary bisalbuminaemia in Pakistan.
A 50 year old female patient demonstrated double peaks of albumin on serum protein electrophoresis (SPE). Patient's detailed medical history was taken and investigations were carried out to rule out systemic causes. Serum electrophoresis was also done on 5 of patient's children. Mixing studies were performed in gradually decreasing concentration of bisalbuminemic serum. Hereditary Bisalbuminaem...
متن کاملBisalbuminaemia in a Spanish family: characterization of the albumin variant.
A case of bisalbuminaemia has been found in Luarca, Asturias. At least two relatives also bear the trait. The variant albumin Luarca (Al Lu, gene notation Al(Lu)), the first to be found on the mainland of Spain, is described in terms of its electrophoretic mobilities and dye-binding properties. It is heat-stable but sensitive to storage, freezing, and thawing and it is the first albumin to show...
متن کاملA reappraisal of the Pyriculariaceae in Iran
The family Magnaporthaceae considered as a single-family placed in the order Magnaporthales. Currently, three distinct clades are phylogenetically distinguished in this order that one is referred as the Pyriculariaceae. The Pyriculariaceae is characterized as a novel family having new genera, new species, new combinations and neotypification (basionym). To taxonomically evaluate this family, an...
